Glenn Edwards is the founder and Director of The Eye International Photography Festival taking place in Aberystwyth Arts Centre, one of the UK’s finest facilities.

A weekend full of exhibitions, portfolio reviews, workshops, cinema and talks by some of the worlds most acclaimed photographers.

Past guests have included Magnum photographers David Hurn and Ian Berry, World Press Award winners Laura Pannack and Justin Maxon, Human Planet ‘s Timothy Allen, and revered landscape photographer Charlie Waite to name a few. See the web site for full list.

2018 will keep to the world class standards set by previous Festivals. Niall McDiarmid has made headlines throughout the national and photographic press with his portraits of Britain exhibition and book Town to Town currently touring the UK. Italian photojournalist Danilo Balducci has won awards worlwide over the past twelve months with his work on the migration situation around the Mediterranean and V11 Agency member Jocelyn Bain Hogg will talk about his work including the project on the London underworld ' Family '.

Kasia Wozniak is a Polish wet plate collodion portrait photographer and will bring this traditional method of photography to The Eye. Helen Marshall will talk about documentary art discussing the murals of thousands of pictures displayed all over the UK, all with an individual story.

Kate Holt has worked for NGO's all over the world and will give a different perspective on the refugee issues and Neil Bennett, a former Picture Editor of The Western Mail in Cardiff and now National Photographic manager of News Corp in Sydney, Australiawill open the Festival on the Friday evening
